When meeting Kirk Johnson for the first time you get the impression that he is some big city dude but he is just a plain old country boy born and raised in the rural county of Bay Minette, Alabama. He jokes that a rooster was his first alarm clock. He loves family, church and country music. Kirk grew up listening to country music on the radio because that was the only station their old radio could play.
Listening to country music taught him about life, love, and broken hearts. Kirk will tell you he is country through and through. Country born, country breed and country raised. When you hear him sing you will know he is not telling a lie. His style, musical taste, interest, and sound is all country which he developed from listening & singing along with various country western artists.
Kirk always says, he didn’t have an illustrious plan in place but, “The Lord works in mysterious ways”. He led him to Montgomery Job Corps Center where he completed his High School Diploma and received a Trade completion in Material Distribution Operations. He contributes Montgomery Job Corps Center for his success. Great things have been happening ever since.
Kirk was a contestant on the NBC program “The Voice”. Kirk made the finale and finished in the Top 3 of Season 15. Kirk’s songs placed 2, 4, 5, 14, 15, 16, & 23 respectively on the charts with Apple Music.
